In its bid to promote local tourism, the Provincial Government of Bataan launched 1Bataan Photocon 2023 aimed at showcasing existing, emerging or undiscovered tourism destinations in the province.

1Bataan Photocon is a photography contest for professional and amateur photographers residing inside and outside the province, who take pride in the beauty and depth of Bataan.

“We are hopeful that through this contest, we can show the immense potential of Bataan to the world and inevitably catapult it as a travel destination of choice. The photos should speak for this beauty and rancour told from the lens of our talented contest participants,” said Governor Joet Garcia.

Exciting prizes await interested participants, including iPhone 14 Pro, 9th Gen iPad, AirPods 3rd Gen, Samsung Galaxy Flip Z, Huawei Matepad SE, Instax mini 11, and cash prizes.

There will be two contest categories: Professional and Non-professional depending on the gadget or camera used to take the entry-photos.

Shortlisted photographs will be part of an exhibit that will run for one week culminating on the awarding day.

1Bataan Photocon 2023 accepts photographs taken from May 22, 2023 – June 23, 2023 as entries.
